About Me

Margo Gross is a national professional public speaker, certified life coach, educational consultant, and pastor.  Her ministry (Margo Medina Ministries) and ministry gift have taken her around the country and abroad as she seeks to educate the mind and free the soul.  Mrs. Gross’ background in education has equipped her with the ability to teach the word with simplicity and clarity and God has anointed her to preach with a transparency and realness that are undeniable.  Mrs. Margo M. Gross was born in Washington, DC.  She is a product of both the District of Columbia and the Calvert County Public School systems.  After graduating from high school, Pastor Gross earned a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business Administration (University of Maryland Eastern Shore), a Master of Arts in Teaching (Trinity University, Washington, DC), and has completed all courses apart from her dissertation for a PhD in Educational Leadership (Walden University).

During her time at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, she was very active in her school as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, president of her sophomore class, designing garments for Spring Fest fashion shows, and earning Most Outstanding Human Ecology student, all culminating in being crowned Miss University of Maryland Eastern Shore 1997. Upon graduating Margo developed and marketed her own clothing line, “Genesis Silhouettes” by “Margo Medina.”  After realizing that she had been called to give back, Mrs. Gross furthered her education at Trinity University to become a teacher.  Mrs. Gross has taught for DC Public Schools, Calvert County Public Schools, and the College of Southern Maryland.  Mrs. Gross was named 2007 Teacher of the Year for Calvert Elementary School and later in 2008 Teacher of the Year for the entire Calvert County Public Schools.  In 2007, she also received the award for Outstanding Educator from the Concerned Black Women of Calvert County. Mrs. Gross considers it an honor to also be an Elite Member of Fierce Ladies Achieving Ministry and Entrepreneurial Success (FLAMES).  In addition, she has served as the chair of multiple Equity Committees and serves on the District Equity Leadership Team.  This team focuses on closing the racial achievement gap and ending institutional racism.

In addition to Margo’s ministry in education, she has also been a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ for 20 years.  She has consistently pursued her calling in God who has matured and graced her to grow from being ordained as an Evangelist, Minister, Elder, Associate Pastor and now Pastor.  She is honored to serve under her mentor and Overseer, Bishop Elect Bonnie Hunter and the CASM family.  Affectionately called, “Thee Oil,” Pastor Gross has also been the featured speaker for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Savannah State University, National Association for Student Affairs Professionals (NASAP), Women’s Conferences, Men’s Conferences, and a host of churches too vast to list.  Mrs. Gross provides life coaching through PUSH a women’s empowerment group designed to change lives through goal setting and discipline.  As the pastor of The Remnant of Hope International Church, Margo challenges her members to live better, make a positive impact on their communities, and develop a closer connection with God. Mrs. Gross’ desires to change lives and save souls through the word of God and she does so with grace and integrity.

Margo has been devoted and married to the love of her life, Kenneth Gross, for 16 years.  They have two daughters, Ariyanna and Samiah.
